ERPNext Accounting Consultant

Job Summary

We are looking for an ERPNext Accounting Consultant who combines strong accounting fundamentals with an interest in technology and business process implementation.

This is not a pure accounting role. You will work directly with clients to understand their accounting processes, implement the Accounts module in ERPNext, migrate and validate accounting data, train users, and provide post-go-live support. You may also handle accounting operations for selected clients.

Key Responsibilities

1. ERPNext Implementation: Understand client accounting processes, configure and implement the ERPNext Accounts module, and map requirements from Tally/Excel or other systems into ERPNext.
2. Accounting & Bookkeeping: Manage day-to-day accounting for Mytra, its group businesses, and selected clients, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, journals, expenses, GST, reconciliations and month/year-end activities.
3. Data Migration: Assist with migration of chart of accounts, masters, opening balances, receivables/payables, bank balances and fixed assets, and reconcile migrated data with existing books.
4. Process Consulting: Identify gaps in existing accounting processes and recommend practical ERPNext workflows, following a vanilla-first approach wherever possible.
5. Client Training & Support: Conduct user training, prepare basic SOPs, support UAT and resolve functional accounting and ERPNext issues.
6. ERP Integration: Ensure accounting processes work correctly with Sales, Purchase, Stock, Manufacturing and other ERPNext modules.

Required Skills

1. Strong knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping.
2. Practical experience with Tally/TallyPrime or another accounting ERP.
3. Good understanding of GL, AR/AP, bank reconciliation, GST, TDS, fixed assets, cost centres and financial statements.
4. Good Excel skills and ability to work with accounting data.
5. Ability to understand and document business processes.
6. Good communication skills and confidence in interacting with clients.
7. Willingness to learn ERPNext and work in a technology-driven environment.

Good to Have

1. Experience with ERPNext/Frappe or implementation of accounting/ERP software.
2. B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / CMA Inter.
3. Experience in manufacturing, trading or distribution accounting.
4. Understanding of other ERPNext modules such as Sales, Purchase, Stock or Manufacturing.
5. Basic knowledge of SQL or data handling.
