Solution Consultant - ERP Solutions
About the Role
We are looking for a consultative and result-driven Solution Consultant to help businesses streamline their operations through ERP and business automation solutions.
As a Solution Consultant, you will be responsible for understanding customer requirements, conducting discovery meetings, demonstrating ERP solutions, preparing proposals, and guiding prospects throughout the sales cycle until project closure. You will work closely with our implementation team to ensure that every proposed solution aligns with the customer's business objectives.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving business problems, interacting with clients, and combining business consulting with technology.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Generate and qualify new business opportunities through networking, referrals, digital campaigns, exhibitions, and strategic partnerships.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with prospective and existing clients.
- Maintain and manage the sales pipeline using internal CRM.
Discovery & Business Consulting
- Conduct discovery meetings to understand the client's business processes, challenges, and operational requirements.
- Analyze business workflows and identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
- Recommend appropriate ERP modules and business solutions based on client requirements.
- Advise customers on industry best practices and implementation approaches.
Solution Demonstration & Proposal
- Conduct tailored ERP demonstrations based on the client's business needs.
- Prepare solution presentations, commercial proposals, project estimates, Statements of Work (SoW), and implementation scope documents.
- Coordinate with the implementation and technical teams for effort estimation and solution validation.
- Address client queries and provide solution-oriented recommendations.
Sales & Client Management
- Present proposals and negotiate commercial terms.
- Drive opportunities through the complete sales cycle until successful closure.
- Ensure a smooth handover to the implementation team after project sign-off.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the pre-sales journey.
Market Development
- Represent the company at networking events, exhibitions, seminars, webinars, and business forums.
- Stay updated with ERP trends, industry best practices, and competitor offerings.
- Provide regular updates on pipeline, forecasts, customer feedback, and market insights.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- MBA or equivalent qualification will be an added advantage.
Skills & Experience
- 1–2 years of experience in ERP, SaaS, B2B software, or technology consulting sales.
- Strong understanding of business processes such as Finance, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Manufacturing, CRM, HR, or Supply Chain.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into practical ERP solutions.
- Experience conducting client discovery meetings and software demonstrations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience preparing proposals, quotations, and solution documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales pipeline management.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn new technologies.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, exhibitions, and networking events whenever required.
